AssetAI's approach to integration starts on the shop floor rather than in a systems-architecture diagram: most plants get more value from removing friction at the point of data entry than from wiring up a new API. Here's how data actually moves in and out of the system today, and how to think about the rest.

Data capture channels that work without a login

Instead of asking operators to install an app or remember a password, AssetAI exposes three real, working entry points that behave like integration surfaces even though no API sits behind them:

  • QR-scan reporting — every machine gets a QR code; scanning it opens a public page where the operator enters their name and a company scan PIN, then logs a breakdown or a meter reading directly. No login, no app install, no IT ticket.
  • WhatsApp meter logging — a fixed command format, `METER <value>`, lets operators text a reading in from any phone. It is deliberately narrow: this is not a general notification or messaging integration, just a fast, familiar path for a very common data point.
  • Photo-OCR capture — a nameplate photo at asset creation auto-fills serial number, year, capacity, and machine name; a meter-face photo at reading time auto-fills the value if left blank. This turns a camera into a data-entry integration without any hardware or network configuration.

Together these channels are the practical answer to a question that comes up in almost every use case discussion: how do you get reliable data out of a floor where not everyone has a desk, a laptop, or consistent connectivity.

Getting data out: exports today, connectors by project

On the export side, the asset registry — including criticality ratings — can be pulled as a CSV, giving you a structured, file-based way to move asset data into spreadsheets, reports, or another system's import routine. This is useful for teams building their own reporting layer or feeding a parallel register elsewhere.

What AssetAI does not yet ship is a pre-built connector to a named ERP, accounting, or SCADA/historian product, and there is no bulk CSV import pipeline for asset masters, no MQTT/OPC-UA sensor feed, and no SSO or directory integration. If your rollout plan assumes a certified connector to a specific system, that work does not exist as a shelf product — it would need to be scoped and built for your plant. Planning an integration scope, not buying a connector

Most Indian manufacturing plants asking about integrations are really asking one of three questions: can data get in without operator friction, can data get out for reporting, and can this talk to our ERP or SCADA system. AssetAI answers the first two directly today and treats the third as a scoping exercise rather than a shelf product.

  • Start with what already works — QR reporting, WhatsApp meter logging, and OCR capture cover the highest-frequency shop-floor data entry without any project work at all.

  • Assuming a REST/GraphQL API exists because most CMMS vendors advertise one. AssetAI does not currently publish API documentation, auth tokens, or rate limits — if your evaluation checklist requires these, confirm status before shortlisting.
  • Assuming CSV works both ways. Export is confirmed and usable for asset registries; a bulk import pipeline for asset masters is not part of the current product, so initial asset setup should be planned around OCR-assisted creation rather than a mass upload.
  • Assuming meter data flows automatically from PLCs or sensors. There is no MQTT, OPC-UA, or automated IoT ingestion path — every reading arrives through manual entry, QR scan, WhatsApp, or OCR photo, which is a feature for plants without instrumentation budget and a gap for plants that already have it.
  • Assuming SSO will be available at rollout. No SAML, LDAP, or directory integration exists today, so login is handled per user rather than via a corporate identity provider.

None of this rules out a wired-up future — it just means the wiring is scoped against your real systems rather than sold as a checkbox.
